Over thirty years experience in the Agricultural Chemical and Fresh Fruit/Produce industries. Currently serving as Market and Product Development Manager to the innovative post harvest chemical company: XEDA Americas. XEDA Americas is the United States arm of the French based XEDA International.

Responsible for Market and Product development of European technology for the U S post harvest market; i.e. thermal fogging technology for application of decay control, scald control and sprout inhibition chemistry; development of Eugenol based fruit treatments, ozone based fruit treatments, specialized fruit cleaners, and specialized fruit floatation material.
Market development and Product development activities were conducted throughout California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington. These activities have resulted in several tangible opportunities for American chemical distribution companies and fruit industry interest groups to acquire and/or utilize the specific technologies under development. These technologies emphasize the utilization of "soft" and "organic certifiable " products.
Responsible for Marketing and Sales of the Biofungicide: Aspire, a formulation of living Candida oleophila for post harvest control of Botrytis and other disease organisms. Introduced Aspire into the apple, cherry and pear industries of California, Washington and Oregon. Aspire was used for the first time in thirty percent of the Washington State apple and pear packing industries.
Responsible for Marketing of AQ 10, a formulation of living Ampelomyces quisqualis for pre harvest control of powdery mildew within the U. S. Assisted in Market Development of AQ 10 in the grape industries of Italy and Southern Spain.
Responsible for pre- registration field research and testing of a formulation of living
Cryptococcus infirmo-miniatus, as a pre and post harvest fungicide. Coordinated the interests of the technical community, i.e. Oregon State University, Washington State Apple Commission in public sector development projects for this product. Assisted in presenting this product concept to U S EPA, USDA IR-4, and California*s Department of Pesticide Regulations.
General Manager with specific P&L responsibility for the $20 million U S operation and general oversight for four individual operations in Europe which comprised and additional $20 million in annual sales. During this tenure, the U S operation increased sales from ten million to twenty million dollars while experiencing a 25% reduction in headcount.
In addition to managerial responsibilities, the General Manager served as Elf Atochem*s technical representative on two major pesticide registration task forces with a combined budget in excess of $12 million.
Elf Atochem, Agrichemicals Division is now know as Cerexia Agri.
As Manager, Quality Control Services, responsible for the development of a uniform quality assurance and quality control system for a $150 million annual citrus production and sales organization.
This system encompassed the day to day quality control procedures in each production plant, the periodic chemical and physical quality assurance processes in each plant, a centralized data service with direct information feed back from domestic and foreign markets.
Major emphasis was placed upon pesticide interactions, trademarking issues and market/regulatory specifications for markets in China, Japan and Korea.
This activity dealt with technical issues required to facilitate the sale of the company to Dole Fresh. Issues involved were quality assurance, quality control, trademarking and packaging standards.
Manager of a group of up to ten scientist involved in problem solving projects related to production and marketing of fresh citrus world wide.
Pertinent issues were pre harvest practices with direct implication for post harvest quality; product shelf life issues impacted by packing process practices; pesticide programs impacted by foreign marketing/food safety issues. Market focus: Japan, Europe, S E Asia.
